Be Fixed on Me 11/18/23 "A word of encouragement"

" Don't worry about the cares and concerns of this world, Be fixed on Me."

Sometimes we get overwhelmed with everything that goes on around us, we deal with family, church, children, jobs, news and relationships and just the world in itself, we get so consumed with what's going on around us that we lose focus on God, I am, and we all are in this learning process, we have to learn how to balance our lives and stay focus on the one who can give us that balance, and that is Jesus Christ, I myself have always been a worrier, worried about my children worried about the rent worry, worry, worry. I've worried just about everything my mind would consume.

Recently, I moved from New Jersey to Georgia. Most of my adult life while living in New Jersey, I was in survival mode, and this mindset followed me to Brunswick, Georgia. Even though I felt sustained by God, worry lingered. However, God desired my undivided focus and unwavering trust in Him to navigate through all situations and circumstances. Therefore, I pray to God about anything and everything that weighs me down, trusting that He will faithfully listen to my prayers and create paths were there seem to be none, as long as I stay steadfast in Him.

To be fixed on God means to make Christ Jesus the central focus of your life. It involves being intentional and committed to the new life He has granted you. It requires to listen and obey, incorporate a changed and transformed mindset—the mind of Christ.

We must acknowledge the truth and power that God’s Word brings allowing it to work in our lives, we must meditate on it day and night.

God says don’t worry about the cares and concerns of this world

for the written word in Mark 4:19, states

And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

God does understand that we will go through trials, tribulations, situations and despair, this is why we must keep Jesus as our crutch,

He expects us to lean on Him for every aspect in our lives

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep in perfect peace
    those whose minds are steadfast,
    because they trust in You.

Philippians 4:6-7

Don't worry about anything; instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Isaiah 43:19

For I'm about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

In this season be fixed on Christ Jesus and put all your cares on Him

Be Blessed in Jesus Name Amen
